The three main CC&R violations we get complaints about: Trash cans left out after Monday’s trash pickup Unsightliness: Lumber, trash, and unfinished projects in plain view of public right of ways and common areas Weeds in flower beds as well as growing in cracks in sidewalks and/or driveways Peeling paint and other poorly maintained exterior finishes Trailers, boats, and RV’s parked in the neighborhood: These items must be stored 100% out of view or offsite. If it’s visible from the street, or a neighbors property, it’s in violation of the CC&R’s There is a 48 hour grace period for loading and unloading Storing these items on the street for too long is a City Code Violation and will be reported to Code Enforcement...

CC&R Complaint Process

Many people have asked what happens if a complaint is brought to the SWNA Board. First the complaint must come to the Board in writing and the name of the complaining persons name must be attached. The name will not be advertised but there needs to be a name attached to each complaint. The process then looks like this: The complaint is discussed to check the validity and to determine if in fact it is a violation of our CC&Rs, or is it an issue for another entity like the police. If it is determined a valid complaint a letter is sent to the violator from the board. If nothing is heard back or the issue remains unresolved a second letter is sent, from the president.
