Boise Police And Neighborhood Watch Event @ Summerwind – 9/13/2018

Neighbors from Shenandoah West, Lamplighter, Summerwind, Camelot, Frontier, and more attended a multi-neighborhood event last night at Summerwind Elementary to learn more about how to work together to reduce crime in our area. Right at 100 people from the area attended the event. The event was put on Boise Police and Neighborhood Watch. A big thank you to Victoria Nelson, the Shenandoah West Neighborhood Watch coordinator, for putting the event together. Block Captains helped share information and other communications for smaller pockets of the neighborhood. Look for more information on how to get involved with this effort. What you can do today: Lock your exterior doors, day and night Close your garage doors at night Lock and secure your car at all times Clear out your garage so you can park your cars inside Remove valuables from your vehicle Turn on your outside lights Put holds on USPS Mail Deliveries and Newspaper subscriptions when you’re leaving town Have neighbors help with trash day if you’ll be out of town Observations from the Board: Our streets are very dark at night because very few neighbors turn their outside lights on at night.
